looking for.

We welcome essays, intellectually ambitious nonfiction, interdisciplinary projects, cultural and historical narratives, and works with a clear authorial voice.

We are not a printing service. Projects shaped only for commercial reach, without editorial fit, or not yet ready for a development conversation are not our current priority.

Starting a Conversation

A proposal is enough
to begin.

A first approach can include a concise description of the work together with a proposal, synopsis or writing sample. A complete manuscript is not required.

Tell us what the work is, who it is for, why it needs to become a book and where you are in the process.

Books is Schrifton’s publishing programme. Titles are selected editorially and require a separate publishing agreement.

Edition DenkRaum is an independent review and development service for research-based projects. Using it does not imply or guarantee publication by Schrifton.
